"At War: Bigger's Id, Ego, and Superego Compete"
Bigger's ego knew that because he was black, Mrs. Dalton wasn't going to come near him or invade his privacy for any reason. His ID knew that Mrs. Dalton was blind so his ID was thinking to take advantage of that for future reasons. In the second quote, his superego was thinking to plan stealing the purse instead of doing it without a plan. In his ego, he was thinking to keep the money that had to save it for later. Throughout both quotes, his ego is the most dominant because he thinks more on of reality, the power balance between blacks and white at that time. He also knows what he did is wrong but in a different side of his mind, it seems right because of what he has been through as a black person.

The killing of Mary Dalton by Bigger
I felt a bit confused and disgusted by the killing of Mary Dalton by Bigger. The reason is because he could have told the Dalton's that he just found her dead and told them he had nothing to do with it. Also the way he chose to hide the body and burn it made him seem like more of a criminal then he was before, even though he did not do it on purpose. I thought that he would take a more peaceful approach to Mary's dead body.
